Pascal Siakam

“It’s easy to relax and get comfortable but you can't be comfortable if you want to be great.” This is a quote that Pascal Siakam said, talking about how he always pushed to be better, worked harder and always wanted to be the best. I am writing this to teach you all about Pascal Siakam’s life, his history, present and future. Some of his big accomplishments and moments in his life, happy reading!

To start off let us talk about his early life and how he grew up. Pascal Siakam was born in Cameroon, West Central Africa to parents Tchamo and Victoire Siakam on April 2nd, 1994. He was the youngest of four brothers, three of which played basketball as he was growing up. Pascal never had much interest in basketball I his childhood and did not start playing until he was 17 years old. He started his basketball journey by enrolling in different basketball camps, some of which included Camp Moute's and Camp Basketball Without Borders. These camps were very interesting for him and gave him a certain love for the sport. He continued to play basketball when he moved to the United States at age 18.

He red-shirted the 2013-2014 season due to injury, then moved on and played for the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas. He played on the Aggies starting lineup and got voted Freshman of The Year by the 2014-2015 campaign. He continued playing for the Aggies the following year, this is when he got assigned his famous nickname “Spicy P” and got elected Player of The Year! This was his last year playing college basketball as he announced he would enter the NBA on April 19th, 2016.
